We have always looked at Circa Survive as more than just a band. Openers for Philadelphia will be announced soon. Touche Amore, Balance and Composure and O’brother will be supporting us on the tour. All tickets will go on sale this Friday, check your email for pre-sale information which will start on Wednesday. We’re also really excited to announce a US tour in support of the record in the Fall, and two special release shows in Philadelphia August 24th and 25th. The record will also be available on iTunes.

All in all we have never been more deeply involved in every aspect of creating a record. We also paid for it with our own money money that likely came from you buying a ticket or t-shirt over the years. This is raw Circa Juice straight from us to you. The groups third album, 2013s Is Survived By, reached the top half of the Billboard 200, and they landed in the lower. We are thankful for the opportunities we’ve had with them but it’s 2012 and we want to try something we’ve never done before. Los Angeles Touché Amoré blend jangly post-hardcore with emotionally raw screamo to create a unique sound that turns the influence of bands like Jawbox and Converge into something strangely coherent. Over the years we have been on both indie and major record labels. We are excited to announce that we have chosen to self-release our 4th album, “Violent Waves” on August 28th. Rolling Stone is streaming the album now, and you can listen here. If you can’t make it to the show, you can pre-order Violent Waves on the band’s page. It has been rumored that their album will be available for purchase at the show, but it is not officially available until Tuesday. Saturday features performances from Balance and Composure and Grimace Federation. On Friday night they will be joined by Bear Hands, along with Birdie Num Num and the Spirit Squad. They will be holding two album release shows in their hometown of Philadelphia this weekend at Union Transfer. The album was a total DIY effort – the band did not bring in outside producers on this one, and are self-releasing it. Locally-rooted post-punk band Circa Survive are releasing their fourth album, Violent Waves, next Tuesday on August 28.
